This drawing started annoying me recently... the top of it looked great (didn't touch that), then after the eyes, it's like I got in a rush and the shading was either overly smooth (no details, just 'look, I can shade smooth, lolz' ), or not there at all.

So, this won't happen often, but after making several more drawings and improving, I felt like reworking an old picture that I thought could be made better pretty easily. So it's not perfect (it's still an old drawing, not a new one), but I'm certainly happier with it now.

Something interesting: this was the first time I tried to draw decent eyelashes and make clothing look textured. I also think it's the best of my older portraits.

Also changed the name... another drawing of John Taylor, who can certainly play bass better than I can :lol:

Wow, this pencil drawing really stands out. The hair is so unique, so different from any other hair drawing I've seen, as if it were composed of little strands of paper. At first, I though there was something wrong with the chin area. Did you intentionally apply some style of Cubism?

That is the best drawing I've done of eyes so far... although the fact that it's John Taylor probably has a lot to do with it, because he usually has intense expressions. :XD:
